MEAT/BEAT BROADSIDE SERIES: A PORTFOLIO, 2007
Four years in the making, the Meat/Beat Broadside Series: A Portfolio, is now complete. They are a series of broadsides and original artworks housed inside a 12 x 16 inche portfolio. The portfolio has three strings attached on three sides. Twenty-three writers are represented in this portfolio including two of San Francisco’s legendary Poet Laureates (Ferlinghetti and Hirschman), consisting of an Introduction sheet, 22 signed and numbered broadsides, 3 signed, hand-painted, original, and one of a kind art plus a printed piece of art by William T. Vollmann. All of the broadsides are either letterpressed or printed on the finest paper and are individually signed and numbered by the poets. This is a rare gathering of Beat and Neo-Beat poets and those who are identified with the Meat School of Poetry. The entire edition is limited to 75 signed and numbered portfolios.
